Paint Sample Charts

Hello everyone
Thank you for popping by and thanks to Jenny L for letting me know re other people's blogs. Michele had mentioned them too. I can't get it to work on my phone. So will have another try whilst I'm here on laptop.
Sandra (Cotswoldcrafter) talked about having a bargain bucket. I mentioned a certain brand of paint beginning with "V" whose colour swatches are separate and are made of card. So below are a few simple samples. They do emboss beautifully Diane

May leave the greenery off next time or use white. The card blank pale lilac. Sue Wilson Daisies

First one I did. I stupidly used wet glue and in my haste to emboss the card, all the glue squidged out. Next time I must be more patient. Les papillon die

Memory Box can't  remember the name!

Les papillon again!

Tonic Trailing Ivy (I think!)

I hope you like them and see you Saturday. I'm off to catch-up on the other blogs now

  5. Brilliant selection of your beautiful cards.
I have used these along with pieces of Wallpaper as backing papers.
Might have to look at the idea again.
    Have a wonderful weekend

  6. These are a fab idea and how great is it when you are just doing normal shopping and you see something that is not a crafting item but you know straight away you can use it for some craft project or other - love what you have done with them and a definite must for me to try with off cuts of card as not planning on visiting the DIY store this weekend!! think it may just be a bit rammed!!! Enjoy your Easter weekend whatever you are doing xx GailT xx

  7. Hi Karen, I've used paint swatches in the past for mosaic work on boxes and then varnished over them and they work brilliantly. As others have said its surprising what ideas you can come up with when not concentrating entirely on stuff in craft shops!! Have a good weekend. I'm not sure now if I will get to Ally Pally as it looks as though there will be replacement buses for the trains for most of the journey to London and I don't think I really want to do that. Best wishes Jackie xx

  8. Hi Karen,

Beautiful array of cards you have done.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, in answer to your question the Stag lies flat, I taped the stencil to the White card and spread paste all over and let it dry, I guess the paste will make it look like its raised up by a mm, hopefully I have showed this in the little picture at the bottom of my blog next to the items list. I hope this helps with your question but if not please do get back to me.

    Love & Hugs

  9. Hi Karen
    Gosh, you have been busy.
If you saw my bags of scraps, I wouldn't dare go getting extra from the diy shop hahaha!
I do, however, have some wallpaper samples. . . . .for decorating consideration of course lol!
Will drop you an email on Sunday (day off) about the linking.
    Best wishes.

  10. Hi Karen,
Great idea! I'm always looking for things which make crafting with children a bit easier! Thank for the tip. I asked for help in Tesco last week as they'd moved all the things associated with washing day! I wanted wooden pegs. A helpful man suggested that the plastic ones were more popular - oh said I - without thinking! I don't want to use them to peg washing out I want them for crafting so they have to be wooden! Right - he said , giving me one of those looks! Washi tape and pegs are a great combination! Thank you for the inspiration - your cards are lovely.

  11. Hi Karen,
I also find wallpaper a great inspiration. I once walked out of a shop with the initials B and Q with some wallpaper with loads of different pictures of Marilyn Monroe. It has been a great hit with the men!!! lol
These cards are great when stuck for a quick and easy. It's thinking of the design that I find the hardest, and these fill the bill.
