I cannot believe it's the week end already! as much as I love the sunshine and warmth, I am wilting a bit. Thank you all for your kind comments I do appreciate and read every single one. Apologies if I don't make indiviuak replies but laptop is poorly and I'm rushing to post before it crashes
So, today is my day for showing an oldie. This is inspired by the lovely Erika at Snappycrafts. Don't laugh but as it's the end of the school year, I thought I'd show again my scrapbook page I created in Serif for a project we did at my local Craft Club! The theme was "School Days". This is my first school photo taken in about 1900 and frozen solid. My dad had made my school cardigan and my little sister (bless her) had decided at some point to colour my eyes with pencil. Of course all of the photos back then were in black and white. I always loved school and wanted to do my best. I loved to colour in and was always proud to get a gold star from my teacher (I was only five) My dad was a draughtsman and so the stencil is in homage to him and the elastic bands are in homage to my my mum, no "posh" scrunchies then! In essence there's a little bit about all of my family on the page. Have a great week end xxx
Karen what a super oldie and great keepsake. I think it's great your dad made your cardi too. Thanks for joining me in sharing an oldie this weekend, enjoy the sunshine.

Hi Karen
ReplyDeleteAnd you haven't changed a bit lol! Impressed with Daddylotty knitting a cardi. My Dad would have used knitting needles to scratch his back with lol!
Best wishes.

Hi Karen,
ReplyDeletewhat a very super oldie and wonderfully created.
We have something in common as my Dad was Draughtsman, and he also knitted very well also.
You are about 10 years behind me as I was in my secondary school then.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
