I'm back with an Oldie for Fffriday!

Hello Everyone
Thank you to ERIKA for pressing the follow button recently and apologies to those I may have missed as I've only just got my laptop back. I am grateful for your support and I love to see your comments. Thank you for the lovely comments you made on my monochrome attempt for Craft Rocket Challenges
To add insult to injury my GC broke. I am still waiting to hear from Spellbinders to see if anything can be done.I have really missed not having a die cutting machine. So no laptop, no GC has meant no card making projects! I'm too impatient as well, so I have treated myself to a new machine (can't wait for it to arrive) and decided to go for the Spellbinders Platinum. The main reason for my choice is - I'm used to using Spellbinders/CE products, and I do like the idea of it being able to be motorised (later in the year) as an add on. Plus the shoulders aren't what they used to be and have been told you don't need to "crank" the handle as many times. It is more reasonably priced than other A4 machines I have seen too. I got a bit of a bargain (in my eyes), I joined the Hobbycraft club and with a first on line purchase I got 15% discount. I will let you know how I get on
Today's oldie inspired by Erika at Snappycrafts is a very CAS card and was one of my first attempt at a channel card. OK, you've noticed there isn't any "height" but this card needed to be posted and therefore, kept it flat. I think I must go back and have another go at this technique, especially as I now have some rectangular matting basic dies and flowers, butterflies etc. As it's a long weekend I hope the weather satys fine. This'll be the first Bank Holiday my OH will be at home in donkey's years and we may (weather holding) go and watch some Point to Point racing. We had a lovely afternoon with Oscar and our daughter yesterday. He is thriving and such a cutie. I could sit and watch him all day!
Ingredients
6x4 card blank
Pearlised patterned paper - pink
Printed sentiment using a mixture of fonts - I really like this effect

  4. Hi Karen the card is beautiful. I would like to know how you get on with the Platinum machine I am thinking of getting one. I have broken 3 GCs. The handle broke on the last one which was quite easy to replace but its days are numbered. Take care. Hugs Jackie

Lovely CAS card. I recognise the terrific Vivaldi font as I've used it myself.
