A Pinwheel card

Hello everyone. Thank you for popping in, if you're able to stay a while and leave a comment I really do value your feedback. I am trying to schedule posts as and when I get some free time, just in case! So, if I don't make special mentions to you at any point, this is why. I really don't want anyone to feel I am ignoring a valuable pieces of information. I feel less rushed too as I'm not a very fast, accurate typist too.
Update on the glasses - the new prescription is better than the first pair they gave me BUT they're not brilliant. Another trip to the opticians - me thinks

Today's card is the one I recently made for my daughter's future mother in law. It was from a challenge that Sandra posted on Cotswold Crafter. I had to take a look on You Tube to find out how to do it.

I admit I tried to be clever and and use fancy dies and embossing folders for the pieces of the pinwheel and not 100% sure it needed to be that fussy....? It did look very effective but perhaps a bit busy.... I will make one again, but will use smaller plainer squares to create the pinwheel

Ha ha - I see my camera strap has sneaked into the photo!

Ingredients
7x7 card blank
Lilac rose patterned paper from a Serif digikit
Sue Wilson Bed of Roses embossing folder
Sue Wilson New York collection - Herald Square

  6. Hi Karen, sorry I've been missing for a while life is just a bit hectic but the builders have nearly finished ftb so perhaps life will get back to some sense of normality before too long. This pinwheel card is great not seen anything like this before other than in tea bag folding so it is a super idea. Best wishes Jackie xx

  7. Hi Karen
What a pretty card. Purple/lilac always a winner for me but love the design too.
I'm overdue an eye test. Not a glasses wearer yet but hope its not going to be the faff you've had.
    Best wishes.
