My Oldie for FFffriday

Hello Everyone

Saturdays are my day for showing an oldie ias inspired by Erika at Snappycrafts She invites topost an old project that has been posted before or needs it's day on a blog. I enjoy looking back at some of my old work and think - REALLY! or I have a little smile to myself and think I like this technique I must do it again, as in this case. I created the background using masking tape - faux leather. Do you know, I can't remember what I did. I think it starts with torn strips of masking tape onto paper. The trick being not to have a straight edge of the tape on show and to overlap them randomly. Swipe the finished piece with Distress ink - I used Vintage Photo - I remember that much as I don't own many pads! I then heat embossed it with clear CS embossing powder.
I made the card for a work colleague who is an avid cyclist. I cannot remember where the image is from or the "Happy Birthday" die. Why not join in and post/link your oldie

It's my birthday today. We are going out for lunch which will be lovely and means I get another cuddle with Oscar. I love and appreciate the presents I receive. But have got to say, he's the best present ever. Enjoy your week end - do you like Halloween?

  4. Happy birthday Karen! and I hope you are having a lovely day with the family. I followed this variation of faux leather from Sue Wilson and it gives a great effect but does take rather a long time to do. Something else to go on the list for when I get my life "back"!! Best wishes Jackie x

  6. Hi Karen
Happy Birthday and I hope you've had a lovely day.
As Jackie says, I've done the Sue Wilson version of this on a card I made to look like a suitcase a couple of years ago.
Your card looks a lot neater than mine lol!
Enjoy what's left of your birthday. . . . . Mind you, if you put your clocks back now, you'll get to celebrate for an extra hour lol!
