My Oldie for Fffriday

Hello Everyone. Thank you for visiting. I enjoy reading your comments and also when I see my work in "print" so to speak I can see where I would make adjustments next time around. A huge thank you to HAZEL for her last comment, letting me know the details of the baby blankets. I will ring my local Special Care Unit and see if I can offer some blankets etc. For those of you that don't know I do knit baby garments throughout the year and anything not purloined by my daughter for her friends - and for herself now! I donate to Harefield Hospital.
Hasn't the weather been gorgeous - just how I like it, warm, not too hot and a slight breeze. Definitely Pimms and strawberry weather. Today's oldie (for me) as inspired by Erika She asks you to post an old project of anything you have created. Take a look a her Saturday posts too, they make me smile
As it's the Queen's official 90th birthday today I thought I would show the card I made my MIL for her 90th birthday last year. This design was inspired by the lovely items sold by Craft Work Cards
I made it from scratch using a card blank. I folded one side in half, on that score edge I cut a semi-circle to give a surface to stick the flowers to. I cut two apertures in the lower half and backed it with the  die cut and then added all of the decorations. The ingredients almost explain it all.
JACKIE I will be in touch about the Platinum. I am beginning to love it but I will explain what I mean on your blog
So, How are England going to get on tonight - I'm not a huge footie fan but of course, it will be on for OH whilst I'm crafting. Have a great week end whatever you're up to

  1. Hi Karen, thank you for joining me this weekend. I love your oldie today, the lattice detail works so well with your floral arrangement. I'm sure your MIL would have loved it.
Weather not so good here today, cold and cloudy. I've put the heating on. 😲 A perfect day for crafting.
Enjoy the weekend, hugs Erika. X

  2. Hi Karen, what a stunning oldie you made for your MIL. I'm sure she absolutely loved it. The flowers above the lattice look amazing. Just like a bouquet on a card.

I think it's wonderful that you can enjoy knitting then the end results are passed on to a worthy cause where they will have great value to a small child who needs it. Barbxx
