An Oldie for Ffffriday

Good morning everyone
Thank you for your kind thoughts about Gary. We all miss him like crazy. He was one of the most kind and thoughtful people out there and like most young men he liked to party. He did a job he loved - and who of us can honestly say we do/did that.He claimed he was going to be a zoo keeper at the age of 4 and that's exactly what he did.
So as it's my day to post an oldie as inspired by  Erika at Snappycrafts, I thought I'd show an oldie of a birthday card that I made for a friend of mine that shares his name. The version for MY Gary was completely flat. This version is more 3D and my first "play" with layouts
Let's hope the weather clears up for tomorrow - it's "chucking it down" here.
Have a great week end everyone

Ingredients

8x8 card blank
Coredination card stock - dark brown
Patterned papers created in Serif
Beer glass made using shapes in Serif printed on paper with an inkjet printer I then deleted off the page everything except the word "BEER" and passed through a laser printer. I ran it through a Patsy May Foil-it machine with gold foil

  6. Hey Karen, lovely to find your blog.
Just been looking through past months and found your cute little baby jumper.
Love this male card. The beer glass looks great.
Sadly I really can't get to grips with Serif. Far too technical for my simple brain.
    Have a good Sunday.
    Love Valxxx

  9. This looks like a thoughtfully designed card for a specific person in mind. Not something you'd get in a store. I think that personal cards like this is much more appreciated.
