Oldie for Fffriday

Hello
I know it's Saturday, but I always post on Saturdays. I hope that you are all well. We are very lucky and have beautiful sunshine - cold but sunny. I'm late posting this because I went out with daughter and had nails done. To cut a long story short, we then popped round to see MIL - to find her flat empty... I did panic a little. She's nearly 91 and a bit wobbly on her legs. She's safe , and had decided to get the bus into town! Little monkey!
Today's card, as always has been inspired by ERIKA from Snappy Crafts This is one of the first cards I ever made. Gosh! that must be about 3 or 4 years ago. No matting and layering, no die cutting.
It's funny that now I feel like I HAVE to include some sort of die cutting on all of the cards I make these days, whether it's the mats, an embellishment or the sentiment.
What are you up to this week end? Anything exciting? I need to do a couple of cards  for MIL's birthday. We might go dancing tonight and we're taking MIL out for lunch tomorrow.
Please take care all of you, especially those that are unwell and those that are suffering terrible weather conditions

Ingredients
5x7 card blank
Image from a MCS cd-rom (I can't remember the name)
silver glitter - cheap stuff from John Lewis, you couldn't get the beautiful silky, fine glitter we can get now

  2. Hi Karen,
Wow your first card is just stunning!! Its great to look back and appreciate the simplicity of the cards we used to make.
Now that we use so many different things on our cards it makes deciding what to make so much harder, and the postage a lot more expensive!
    Huge hugs

  3. Hi Karen for one of your first cards this is so good. Lovely image. Been to Sincerely Yours at Thetford this morning. Not so many stands as usual because of Summer Crafting but I wanted bits from 1 craft1 and they are did both. Was absolutely packed though despite the rain. So it was a nice morning out. Have a good week. Best wishes Jackie x

  5. Hi Karen I bet that was a bit of a shock turning up at your MIL and her not there.
Another super oldie, I love the touch of sparkle on the edge of the roses. A perfect personalised card for the occasion.
Thanks for joining me sharing an oldie this weekend, hope you had a good one and enjoyed getting your nails done. Mine are dreadful.

    Hugs Erika. x
