Hello Everyone
Thank you for visiting and welcome to Cornelia, thank you for popping in and your kind comments on my Bokeh attempt.
I was asked by my future son in law to do a card for his sister's birthday. As it was for a man to give I wasn't "allowed" to do anything "frilly!" My daughter suggested this style and use the colours red and black. I'd made a previous one to give to a friend's daughter. The one I made for her from me and husband is here
Ingredients
8x8 card blank
Black card
White 250 gsm super smooth card which I printed all of the elements onto
Serif digikit - Digitangle (a freebie)
Sue Wilson's - 3D bow
Sue Wilson New York Collection - Herald SquareOff to craft now, I still haven't finished Husband's birthday card. It's all printed, just need to construct it - stick it together!
Love the card-perfect for a man to give to someone. I'm just finishing the baby book I started as we've just heard that hubby's sister in law gave birth at 7.24am (USA time) so I can safely send this off to them now.

Girlie enough for his sister, yet manly for it being from him. Just perfect. Hazel,x
ReplyDeleteNice card, Karen. I love the colour scheme and can see that it fits your son in law's request perfectly.
ReplyDeleteCheers

Perfect, clever you. Not girly for a man to give, change of colours and it could be quite girly or as manly as you want. I really like it.

It took me a long time to discover this, so I am not sure if you know or not.
So I hope you don't mind me mentioning this.

Hi Karen, love the zentangling (is that a word??!!) and the red and black are quite striking. As others have said just right for a man to give but girly enough with the colours, the bow and the twiddly border. Best wishes Jackie x
ReplyDeleteKaren, I use a very old, one piece cardboard Template to make my shoes.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded from a site years ago. When the one I am using gets shabby I just make a new one and carry on!!!
It is a case of "cut it out, score, fold and stick it together.

Hi Karen
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love the red and black. A dramatic combo but just right for a fella to give his sister.
The background is fab.
Best wishes.
